  • Hardy to zone 5

Porter’s Perfection is a late season, vintage quality bittersharp. It originated from East Lambrook, Somerset during the 19th century and has been highly regarded for the quality of its juice by cider-makers ever since. Yields a highly acidic, sharp juice with low astringency. Produces a bittersharp cider and is mostly used for blending.

The apple has dark red flushed skin with the peculiar tendency to produce pairs of fused apples. It is a healthy, vigorous grower with a large, spreading habit, producing heavy crops of apples to be harvested in the second half of November. The tree is a heavy cropper, tends to biennial bearing. One of the more disease-resistant of English cider varieties. Hardy to zone 5.
